Visit The Classroom

Note to High School and College Teachers

In the near future, we will be adding a new section to The Lost Museum. The Classroom will offer teaching lessons, from thematic units to one-day exercises, that draw on the Museum's Exploration and Archive sections. We have created four sample lessons:

INVESTIGATING AN INSTITUTION

IMAGINE YOURSELF AS P. T. BARNUM

BEHAVING IN PUBLIC IN THE 19TH CENTURY

SLAVERY AND CIVIL RIGHTS

Among the teaching resources in The Classroom, we plan to feature materials created by teachers that have proven to be successful in high school or college classes. While we prepare materials for The Classroom section, we would appreciate hearing from teachers who have used The Lost Museum in their classes. We are eager to learn about the ways you have found this Web site to be useful and comments on the lessons we have provided. And, of course, we are particularly interested in hearing about classroom exercises or lesson plans you may have devised using The Lost Museum.

We look forward to hearing from you.
